This year, we’re grateful for our team and families, a healthy harvest, amazing customers and another busy year serving you some of your favourite Pelee Island wines. This Thanksgiving, we’re serving up a glass of gratitude (Pelee Island style) with our turkey, mashed potatoes and corn. Oh, and you can’t forget the classic apple pie!
Thanksgiving Turkey & a Glass of Chardonnay
There’s no better pairing with your turkey than a glass of Chardonnay. If you opt for a regular glass of chardonnay, you may notice that the buttery flavours are too intense for your Thanksgiving dinner but if you choose an un-oaked /non-oaked Chardonnay (like our Chardonnay VQA), you’ll get the fruit flavours instead.
Our Chardonnay is known for its intense ripe honeydew melon aromas on the nose and juicy ripe peaches and lime flavours on the palate with a lasting zesty finish.
Mashed Potatoes & a Glass of Cabernet Sauvignon
A heavy dish liked mashed potatoes with complex flavours can be hard to pair with a glass of wine but we’ve pulled a bottle from our lineup that might just suit your needs – Graffiti Cabernet Sauvignon. This Cabernet Sauvignon has a ripe nose of berries and a hint of dark chocolate. Just complex enough for your signature comfort food.
Apple Pie & a Glass of Ice Wine
When choosing a wine to pair with dessert, always go for one a little higher on the sweet scale – like a Cabernet Franc Icewine VQA. This fabulous Cabernet Franc Icewine is an elegant, rich ruby red wine, with intense cassis and strawberry jam flavours that linger on your palate.
